Full Recap:
It is the 1st of the month and the start of a new quarter. With that comes lots of new tasks to accomplish that Dan is excited about to start the day. Thursday is already Dan’s favorite day of the work week, and the monthly and quarterly tasks just add to the fun. A friendly reminder for everyone to be setting time aside each week to review company financials, cash flow, accounts receivables, etc.
Today’s episode focuses on some great habits and hints shared by some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country. It is always a good idea to seek out tips and strategies from other successful entrepreneurs. Part of anyone’s growth and success is learning from other successful people. Some of these ideas are pretty basic, but it doesn’t mean we don’t need to be reminded every once in a while.
The first and most important habit to form and follow is the Golden Rule. Treat others the way you want to be treated. It is really simple. Follow that rule in your personal life and in your business. Treat your employees and customers the way you want to be treated and in the long run good things will happen. Treat your employees and customers poorly and it will eventually come back to you too. Be fair, be kind.
Next, stop multitasking. Dan knows that sounds counterintuitive with how the world operates now, but instead of spreading yourself thin and trying to accomplish 5 things at once instead organize your day and single task. Several studies have shown that multitasking actually leads to poorer performance. Single tasking allows you to focus entirely on one task at a time and be more efficient and successful in completing those tasks.
The next three habits discussed involve getting out of your comfort zone, being proactive about your organization, and taking time to be mindful and thankful. Listen to today’s episode to hear each topic discussed in detail.
